Dining on the Disney Wish with Allergies

I am allergic to gluten and dairy as both cause my skin to break out in eczema. I did plan ahead a bit due to the allergies to make sure I could enjoy myself. Thankfully, Disney is amazing with allergies bot in the parks and on their ships.

We boarded the Disney Wish at 12:30 pm so lunch was a must for our party of 7. We went to the pool deck to check out Mickey's Festival of Foods. Now I did get my children all situated before I went to order my food. I decided to get a burger so I went over to Goofy's Grill and just asked one of the servers there about ordering a hamburger for someone with allergies. They went to get one of the head servers to take my order. They made my order in a separate kitchen and brought my order directly to my table. Super easy and a pretty taste burger with fries.

For our first dinner, we had 1923 and I did remind my servers about my allergies right when we sat down. They quickly brought me an allergy menu and I was able to order anything I wanted off of that. They even brought me my own rolls and butter to enjoy. For my appetizer, I enjoyed the porcini spiced ahi tuna, my entree was the roasted green circle chicken and dessert was the warm chocolate cookie brownie. Everything was delicious and filling. Before we left, I did pre-order my breakfast for the next morning and my dinner for the next night.

Our second day on the cruise, breakfast was at 1923 as we opted for the sit down restaurant instead of the buffet. Since I had pre-ordered my breakfast, I just told me server that I have allergies and pre-ordered my meal. My food came out with everyone else's food, I just did not have to order with everyone else. My breakfast consisted of Mickey waffles, scrambled eggs and sausage plus a fruit plate. Everything was warm and delicious. For lunch this day, we did an excursion at Blue Lagoon so we ate there. Not a huge selection for those with allergies. For dinner, we ate at Worlds of Marvel. My meal consisted of my allergy friendly bread rolls, seared vegetable potstickers, pan-seared scallop and Californian citrus lemon slice. I will say that the only thing I wasn't in love with was the lemon slice as it was dry and way too lemony for my liking. Now, like the first night I did pre-order my breakfast and dinner but since the next day was Castaway, I also ordered my lunch meal as well.

Our third day on the cruise, we did breakfast at the buffet so we could get off the ship faster. To get my meal, I just had to find one of the crew members in the dining area and tell them my room number and that I had pre-ordered my breakfast. I told them where I was sitting and they brought me my order. I did order the same thing every day for breakfast. For Castaway lunch, they have three places to get food but only one place to pick up your allergy free order. My family was down near Cookies Too BBQ but I had to pick up my food from Cookies BBQ which was a bit of a walk but my server did make me aware of that at dinner the night before. For lunch I had the honey and bourbon glazed seared salmon filet with cole slaw and red skin potato salad and for dessert, coconut vanilla ice cream. The food was delicious and warm even with the walk back to Cookies Too. For dinner since it was pirates night, we repeated Marvel but with a pirate menu. I enjoyed Angelica's lime marinated shrimp, King George's roasted privateer strip loin and chocolate truffle cake. That cake was amazing but the whole meal was delicious.

For our final day on the ship, we had breakfast again at 1923 and I enjoyed churro Mickey waffles but you do need to request those. For lunch, I did not pre-order but we decided to check out the buffet area. I enjoyed the shrimp and crab legs and did just walk around and decide on food based on what it was as cross contamination is not a huge deal for my allergies. You can ask someone to help you with deciding what to get and such. The buffet is just very crowded and somewhat overwhelming with all the choices. For dinner, we finally got to eat at Arendelle. I enjoyed the Arendelle kjotkake, the seared salmon salad and the apple bread pudding. All of which was delicious. I did not pre-order my breakfast for the next morning as they have a bit more limited menu for the debarkation morning.

For our final morning on the ship, I got pancakes, scrambled eggs and sausage plus some allergy friendly pastries. All was delicious and filling. Leaving the cruise, I felt I ate like a queen and I cannot wait to go back and enjoy even more allergy friendly foods. Overall, my experience was amazing as the food was incredible and our servers were top notch when it came to my allergies. If you have allergies and are thinking of taking a Disney cruise, I highly recommend it as they take such good care of their guests. And don't forget, I can help plan and book that cruise. #neverlandingtravelbysara #disneycruiseline #glutenanddairyfree #allergyfriendly
