Drury Plaza Hotel at Disney Springs

My family recently stayed at the Drury Plaza Hotel at Disney Springs for our pre-cruise stay. We reserved a standard room with 2 queen beds, terrace and fireworks view. Here is my review on our stay.

The Drury has many amenities such as breakfast included, shuttle to the Disney parks, a 5:30pm kickback which includes three alcoholic beverages per adult per night, a beautiful pool,

splash pad and hot tub, laundry facilities, business center and a fitness center. Parking is an additional price and they do have a few food options available for an additional cost as well. So, in my opinion it is a nice hotel and a cheaper option than the Disney hotels for families on a budget and such.

The breakfast selections were good as they had bread, muffins, bagels, cereal, Mickey waffles, pancakes, different varieties of scrambled eggs available, sausage, home fries, oatmeal and biscuits with gravy. They have juice and coffee available at breakfast as well. It is a buffet and it is all you can eat. The Mickey waffles are make your own so there tends to be a line for those but overall, breakfast was delicious and they open breakfast up at 6 so you have time to rope drop the parks.

The kickback that is available from 5:30 to 7:30 each night had a varied selection of food that changed each night. Our first night was mashed potatoes, mixed vegetables, chicken tenders and gravy, hot dogs and salad. The second night was a taco/nacho bar and they did have hot dogs that night as well. Our third night staying there, we ate at Magic Kingdom so not sure what they served at the kickback. They have water, soda and of course, those over 21 can get the three alcoholic beverages at the kickback. I will say that if you have picky eaters, the kickback may not have much and those with allergies may have trouble finding many options as well.

The shuttle to the parks was on time and never packed. They ran the shuttles often as well as very late. If you have children in strollers, you will need to fold up the stroller which can be difficult if you close out the parks and have children sleeping in the stroller. The shuttles do stop at multiple parks so it can take some time to get to your park or even back to the hotel.

The firework view from our room was a perfect view. The kids enjoyed it and it was nice for the days we were not at the parks. Of course, the time of the fireworks is late so little ones may not be able to stay up that late. The rooms without the view are definitely cheaper if you think that your family does not need the firework view.

The pool was fun for the kids and it was open late and well lit. For those with little ones, just be aware that it gets deep quickly. My youngest was stuck right on the stairs unless my husband or I were holding her. Definitely plenty of swimming space for the rest of the family. The splash pad was definitely perfect for the little ones.

Overall, this hotel was a nice, affordable option for my family while still giving us the Disney atmosphere that we love. I would love to help your family book your next stay at the Drury Plaza. I can even book you a Disney vacation package with your stay. Send me an email and I can get you a quote. #neverlandingtravelbysara #druryplazadisneysprings
