Fun filled day at Santa's Village

My family took a trip to the White Mountains of NH and our visit took us to Santa's Village in Jefferson, NH. It is a fun Santa themed amusement park geared towards children ages 3-12 but it can be fun for everyone who loves Christmas and amusement parks.

The park opens at 9:30 am and most days that are nice are sold out so make sure to buy your tickets before hand. Parking is free but the closer lot fills up fast. If you are traveling with your canine, you can rent a kennel at the exit gift shop for $10. They will give you a water bowl and a key. The kennels are in the shade, airy and the dogs cannot see each other. We did take advantage of those as we were traveling with our dog. Children get measured as you go through security and based on their height, will get a colored bracelet. The map will tell you based on the color of the bracelet what rides your children can ride. Extremely helpful and makes the lines move a bit faster since ride attendants do not need to measure every child.

They have a fun alphabet game that every child can do. Once you enter the park, you go to the Elf School to get your game card and then you spend the rest of your day getting each letter punched by the Elf statues throughout the park. At the end of the day, your children will receive a prize and certificate, this year was a key chain. My kids enjoy running around, looking for all the elves.

My recommendation is head over to Santa's summer home shortly after arriving as the line will be much shorter in the first hour or two of the park opening. That is what we did this year and we had about a 10 minute wait. When we walked by around noon, it was a 45 minute wait. If you enjoy sweets, right near Santa's home is the Sugar and Spice bake shop where you can purchase sweet treats and even decorate them. My kids always enjoy this so we always get a couple cookies. They are decent sized cookies so this year we got one gingerbread and one sugar and shared them among everyone.

There are not many water refill stations throughout the park so I do recommend the refillable cup that they sell. It comes in handy and keeps everyone hydrated. They do a few lunch options throughout the park and the kids meals do come with a frisbee but like any other theme park, the food is a bit overpriced. You are able to bring your own food in and save yourself some money.

Santa's Village does have a water park that is included in admission. It has lockers and changing rooms so one does not need to wear their wet swimsuit all day. They even have a food court in that area as well so you have some options. They also have a number of cabanas that one can rent for the day. It is a fun area that my family always enjoys when it is a hot and humid summer day. Be aware however that the water park opens an hour after the park opens and closes earlier as well.

Overall, Santa's Village is a fun theme park in the White Mountains of NH that the whole family can enjoy. From meeting with Santa, feeding the reindeer and riding the fun coasters, you will be able to fill the entire day with Christmas fun! I would be happy to help anyone plan their next summer getaway to the White Mountains so they can take advantage of this wonderful theme park. #neverlandingtravelbysara #santasvillage #whitemountainsofnh
